Role of Radiation Treatment for Ovarian Cancer
The role of radiotherapy in ovarian cancer is limited.
Indications and Benefits
Radiation may be of value in selected patients after surgery and standard chemotherapy to further reduce the risk of cancer recurrence. It may also be valuable as a means of controlling symptoms in patients with recurrent cancer that has failed to respond to further chemotherapy.
How to Obtain a Consultation
Patients may be referred to one of the radiation oncologists in the Site Group, either through the departmental referral process or by contacting one of the physicians directly.
