Endometrial Cancer

Role of Radiation Treatment for Endometrial Cancer

Radiotherapy is commonly prescribed to prevent the recurrence of endometrial cancer after surgery has been performed to remove the uterus and ovaries (hysterectomy and oophorectomy).

Benefits

Radiotherapy reduces the risk of the cancer recurring in the pelvis in some patients.

How to Obtain a Consultation

Patients may be referred to one of the radiation oncologists in the Site Group, either through the departmental referral process or by contacting one of the physicians directly.
