Welcome to the website for information on the 1st Annual Radiation Therapist Research Symposium.
This free research day will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2007, located in the 6th floor auditorium at Princess Margaret Hospital (610 University Ave., Toronto).
The scientific program includes the results of research performed by Therapists on high precision radiotherapy delivery, professional practice and role development, external beam dosimetric innovations and specialised palliative radiotherapy techniques. These topics will be examined during four symposia with both formal and informal question and answer periods. Please click this link for the detailed symposia objectives: Detailed Symposia Objectives
The target audience for this research day consists of any Radiation Therapists or radiation therapy students working or studying in Ontario. It is hoped that this will help raise the profile of Radiation Therapist research in Ontario and provide inspiration and information for fellow Therapists attempting research projects. At the conclusion of the symposium, the participants will have had the opportunity to:
- be exposed to innovative Radiation Therapist Research;
- expand their knowledge base;
- incorporate new evidence into their clinical practice, and
- interact with colleagues from across the province.
Continuing education credits will be issued by the MDCB, CAMRT and ARRT.
