This research day will take place on Saturday, March 1st 2008, located at the Michener Institute (222 St Patrick St) in Toronto. Click on this link for directions, TTC and parking info.
The scientific program includes the results of research performed by Therapists on; professional practice in different research areas, image-guided radiotherapy delivery, strategies to reduce patient toxicity and anxiety, and pre-treatment planning innovations. 2nd Annual Radiation Therapist Research Symposium Agenda
The target audience for this research day consists of any Radiation Therapists or radiation therapy students working or studying in Ontario. It is hoped that this will help raise the profile of Radiation Therapist research in Ontario and provide inspiration and information for fellow Therapists attempting research projects. At the conclusion of the symposium, the participants will have had the opportunity to:
· be exposed to innovative Radiation Therapist Research
· to expand their knowledge base
· to incorporate new evidence into their clinical practice
· to interact with colleagues from across the province
Continuing education credits will be issued by the MDCB, CAMRT and ARRT.
In order to attend this research symposium you must register online before February 16, 2008. For a $20 fee to cover refreshments, you may register for the whole day (payable on the morning of the symposium). No partial day registrations will be accepted. Space is limited so confirmation of registration will be issued by email on a first-come, first-served basis. Register only for yourself, please do not register for others.
