Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) Course at PMH

      Course Information

Princess Margaret Hospital, in collaboration with Cancer Care Ontario and the University of Toronto Department of Radiation Oncology, is proud to offer the IMRT Education Course.

Over the past decade, IMRT has emerged as the contemporary standard of care for patients with many forms of cancer. It exploits technologies that minimize treatment side effects, while giving definitive radiation doses to diseased tissue. The course was developed to share a unique interdisciplinary approach to patient treatment, and program development to give radiation practitioners from across the province an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in this area.

This two-day education course will offer you the opportunity to:

  • Build a foundation on which to develop the personal knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate IMRT approaches in the management of your patients.
  • Develop insight into the processes and systems needed to support an IMRT program at your centre.
  • Discuss the steps that you can take to successfully promote change.
