Translational research spans the gap between the laboratory and the clinic. New cancer treatments are often discovered in a laboratory, and an important challenge is to rapidly “translate” these into treatments that are effective and safe for patients. The Radiation Medicine Program has a broad range of translational research studies in biology and technology that fuel the development of novel and innovative cancer treatment strategies.
