Role of Radiation Treatment for Medulloblastomas

Radiation is recommended for all patients following surgery. There is a need to treat the whole brain and spinal cord, followed by a boost to the primary area of tumour in the cerebellum. Medulloblastoma is very sensitive to radiation therapy.

There is a significant likelihood of cure with radiation for this tumour.

How to Make a Referral

Patients may be referred to one of the radiation oncologists in the Site Group either through the departmental referral process or by contacting one of the physicians directly.
