Patients are increasingly choosing radiation as an alternate to surgical resection. The main reason is to avoid significant morbidity associated with surgery.

Indications

Used for any patient with MRI evidence of an acoustic neuroma who wishes to pursue some form of management after being reviewed by both a surgical team and a radiation service.

Benefits

Long-term control rates in the range of 90-95%.

Special Programs

Fractionated stereotactic radiation therapy

How to Make a Referral

Patients may be referred to one of the radiation oncologists in the Site Group either through the departmental referral process or by contacting one of the physicians directly.
